Online banking customers hare taking to social media and down websites to report there issues of not being able to login to their service via official banking apps and websites.
It was first thought to be an issue with just a few banks but it seems to with majority of the major ones across the UK. Looks like a total UK outage when it comes to trying to access banking accounts.
Customers have been commenting on many down sites as well as Twitter etc but one site called ‘Is Down Right Now UK’ are reporting issues from customers with online banking being it on PC or mobile apps, here are the pages where customers have shared their status: Halifax / Barclays / HSBC / Santander / Lloyds.
Some have said it could be due to BT Internet services being down, and one Barclays customer said they were wondering if it was to do with the ‘Barclays Hackathon’. Barclays launched its digital banking hackathon with MuleSoft as reported by Yahoo Finance.
