HSBC was at the front of a cyber attack where its Internet banking was hacked, leaving customers highly frustrated today.
You will see many tweet updates on the official @HSBC_UK_Help Twitter page with the last saying, “We continue to defend our services against todays attack. For urgent transactions please visit your local branch 1/2.” So it still looks like you cannot do any online banking, please do let us know if this is the case.
The HSBC cyber attack left HSBC warning its customers to avoid using online banking and other services, and use its nearest branch. The updated Twitter with a new tweet saying, “All our major branches will be open on Saturday. Please use our branch locator to find the nearest one. 2/2”
There does not seem to be any information on if online services have been fully restored, we will keep you posted.
