With many smartphones to choose from on the current market as well as plenty on the horizon, its a job to know which make and model to purchase let alone what carrier? But one handset on the way from Samsung which is reported to be a big contender against other rivals including the iPhone is that of the Galaxy S II (S2) packing some pretty fantastic specs which we will just briefly touch on.
Just yesterday Debbie here at OSM made mention of the handset being delayed until a possible date in May with some UK retailers already having a release date of 6th, and that via GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy S2 would be benefiting from the processor being upped from 1 to a 1.2GHz dual-core.
News today has yet again changed with Cnet amongst others such as Slashgear reporting that the handset will indeed be on course to launch this month, this comes from Samsung confirming this via networking site Twitter. They tweeted, “Samsung Galaxy S II will be first released in April, as planned and it will be gradually rolled out in each market according to the local launch timetable.”
When we cast our minds back to the original release of its predecessor the Galaxy S, this itself excited plenty of you with some 10 million units being sold globally.
To refresh you with its specs, the Samsung will include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 8 megapixel camera, 1080p video playback, gaming and so on.
So how will the new Galaxy S2 fair against others such as the Motorola Droid Bionic which is rumored to be showing itself this month on 21st, who will be the first to release?
Let us know if one of these two are getting you hyped up?
