The statistics were measured from social media over a 24-hour period from noon on the day before the wedding and you might just be surprised at some of the figures.
During the 24-hour period gauged the overall amount of Royal Wedding social media mentions was 2.7 million, with 94.7% from Twitter, 3% from Facebook and 1.3% from blogs. The top 5 people mentioned came as rather a shock to us as neither Prince William or Kate Middleton, the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, gained a place. The Queen grabbed 35.1% of mentions while Prince Harry got 20.5%, Pippa Middleton 14.7%, Victoria Beckham 10.6% and her husband David Beckham on 8.5%.
