We recently talked about Facebook code that points to a new music service and today talked about how Spotify has now landed in the U.S. We now have more music news for you, this time about a new Facebook app called ONErpm from ONErpm.com, which enables musicians to sell their music globally, all from their Facebook page.
Users of this social commercial application can set pricing tiers, sell by territory and also give free downloads and all that’s necessary to hand over is an email address. As the app is intended to have a global appeal it supports different languages and currencies, among them English, Spanish and Portuguese. The app has an easy one-click install and if you’re an artist with a large catalog there’s good news as there is no restriction on the number of albums. You can read more on installing the app below. Fans purchasing music can opt to pay through Facebook or use PayPal so it couldn’t be more convenient to the user. Promotional features on offer from ONErpm include an email list sign up and various sharing options.
Matt Olim, CTO and co-founder of ONErpm says of the new app, “We’ve built the ONErpm.com service so it can become a fully integrated music store with a recommendation engine – all residing within Facebook.” Another further release will include more social commerce features and options to customize and company CEO and co-founder, Emmanuel Zunz, said, “We’re constantly listening to our artists and labels and building that feedback into our product as fast as we can.”
Renowned artists from all over are now using ONErpm for their Facebook pages including such artists as Hip Hop’s Blitz the Ambassador and Brazilian Country music stars Chitaozinho and Xororo. It’s easy to install the ONErpm Facebook app (link here) as all you need is a fan page on Facebook and an artist or label account with ONE rpm. Simply log into your account or create one and upload your music. From your dashboard select “Install Albums on Facebook” and then click on “Add to My Page” from the left column of the ONE rpm app Facebook install page before heading to your Facebook page to finish installing and you’re almost ready to get on with promoting your page. All of your fans will then be able to access your complete discography from your Facebook fan page. Signing up is free and you get to keep 70% of all your sales.
The ONErpm Facebook app seems to us a pretty clever resource for people to buy, listen and share your music within Facebook. We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on ONErpm so check it out and let us have your comments about this new Facebook app.
