Here at OSM, we like to keep our readers up to date with all the current developments within the mobile phone market, recently we have reported quite a lot on Finnish company Nokia. In previous posts, we have brought you news on many of their devices like the C7, E6 and X7.
Today we have some more information to bring you on one of the company’s latest handsets, this device is the Nokia Oro. Unlike your normal run of the mill Symbian device the Oro is something a little bit different, this niche device is a gold-plated phone.
Unlike normal handsets the Oro is, of course, a premium device and will be focused more towards a select number of individuals, these individuals according to Slashgear will be mainly in Russia and the Middle East. This handset is set to hit these markets in Q3 carrying a pretty hefty price tag of $1,122.
With a price tag like this, what can you expect to receive for your money? Well, this post from Gsmarena tell us users can expect the highest quality of materials such as a sapphire crystal display, 18-carat gold plated casing and even a Caledonian leather battery cover.
Putting aside all of the fancy materials involved to produce this handset the Oro is in a sense an exact copy of the company’s C7 model and features a 3.5” ClearBlack AMOLED screen, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and 3G with HSDPA. What are your thoughts on this?
Would you buy a phone because of its looks or because of what features it has?
