Having already covered a number of iPhone 4S cases, we were intrigued to see if the Lifeproof iPhone 4S case was ready, and a quick visit to their website says that it is. We have already discussed similar covers, such as Otterbox, but the former seems to offer even more protection, which you can see in a few videos that we have embedded for you.
There are two versions available, the LifeProof Case – Gen 1 and also Gen 2, which will cost $69.95 and $79.95 respectively. The website shows that they now have stock of these updated covers, with pink white and black available for Gen1 and throwing in purple as an extra choice for gen 2. With your new iPhone 4S encased in one of these, you will be able to do all things that you would not normally do with an iPhone, such as ski, snowboard, take a shower or even take it to work on a construction site.
You may want to know what is the difference between the two-generation models? Well, Gen 2 offers extra protection for the sound and mute switch by way of two bumpers to repeal impact. Lifeproof will also offer a case for the iPad 2, but as yet there is no release date or price.
