The LG Optimus or G-Slate as it’s also known was one of the talked about tablets of MWC 2011. LG brought it along as they said they would and we have already read the release date in a previous article. Now we are hearing that the device has been priced up early.
The information has come through Phonedog’s Alex Wagner where he mentions a few other prices of tablets such as the Motorola Xoom for $799 and then compares the price that he has found on MobileCity. The reported price of the G-Slate is $699.99 as shown below.
If this price is right then it is pretty much giving the Xoom the cold shoulder, being $100 cheaper and featuring 4G and 3D usage, we’re pretty sure which we would go for! Let’s just remind ourselves of what you are getting for your money.
The device as we already mentioned is 4G enabled, it has WiFi, a front-facing camera, an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor (1GHz) and an 8.9” touchscreen running at resolution of 1280×768. To top things off, on the rear of the device there are dual 5 megapixel cameras for 3D video capture.
What do you think about the pricing of this device? Will you get the G-Slate or the Motorola Xoom? Let us know in the comments section below.
