In an earlier post we brought you news about the Kyocera Echo (the new dual-screen Smartphone coming to Sprint’s network), this handset is a social networkers dream come true and we believe that it could be a possible game changer, offering users a unique mobile gaming experience.
For those not familiar with this handset, it starts off a pretty standard size until the second screen is popped up making a massive 4.7inch dual touch screen. Along with this monstrous screen it hosts a pretty impressive feature list, like a 5mp camera with 720p video, 1GHz Snapdragon processor and it’s also running Android (Froyo 2.2), for a more detailed spec list and some first impressions head over to this post by Brent Rose at PCWorld.com.
This dual-screen device could possibly become the platform of all future devices, giving us an array of exciting handsets to really wow us with our mobile gaming experience. When playing certain games on the Echo the two screens both act separately as they would on something like the Nintendo DS, with the top one giving you a visual of your game and the bottom acting as the controls. You can read more about the gaming experience on the Echo and also a hands-on review by Sascha Segan over at PCmag.com.
Mobile Gaming has come a long way over the years, it only feels like yesterday when we were sitting down with our old Nokia’s bashing away at the buttons franticly while trying to beat our top score on a snake. Now we can’t even pick up a phone without there being some sort of game or access to games on it, who would have thought things could change so dramatically?
So if the Echo really kicks off this handset could become another trendsetter just like its predecessors were many years ago, let’s wait and see what happens.
Would the Echo be your ideal handset?
