Some of you may not have heard the name of Justin Long but it’s a sure thing that you’ve seen his face as he’s the actor featured in the Apple series of Mac adverts, or the Mac guy. Now we’re wondering what on earth Apple will say after the actor was featured on last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live Show showing a jailbroken iPhone.
On the show, Justin Long took out his iPhone to display a series of funny SMS exchanges to the audience. Maybe he forgot, or maybe he just didn’t care about the consequences, but during the show, the Cydia icon can be seen amid Long’s other apps, according to Stan Schroeder over on Mashable.
Now for those of you who don’t know that’s a telling sign that Long’s phone has been jailbroken.
Jailbreaking your iPhone so that you can add apps or programs that are non-approved by Apple is not actually illegal but it will void your warranty and is certainly something frowned upon by Apple. You can take a look at the sequence on the show by viewing the video below this story.
For more on this go to mashable.com. We’re not sure that Apple will be at all amused by the sight of the Mac guy on TV with a jailbroken iPhone and wonder what the company will say.
