The Google Nexus Two which was expected for next week has been delayed due to a hardware issue. However we could end up seeing Google’s new Android OS, Gingerbread 2.3 at some point this week.
The Samsung built Nexus Two which is only Google’s second own branded phone, was supposed to launch on November 11th accompanied by the OS it runs on, which is Gingerbread 2.3. Cnet reports that delay of the Nexus Two will be until the hardware malfunction is resolved and so no clear date has been put on that.
We reported yesterday that we may still see Gingerbread launched on the 11th as planned, but with the Nexus One first.
For now the Nexus Two is left in darkness as some still dispute its existence; hopefully more details will come to light later in the week. Some of the rumoured features include a 4-inch AMOLED display, a 5-megapixel camera, a 1.2GHz processor, 16GB of storage, 512MB of RAM and of course Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G. The phone has been likened to the Samsung Galaxy S.
