If you’re an enthusiast for Google Chrome you’ll like the sound of this next piece of news which is about an extension for Google Chrome called Cortex. Designed for sharing content it does so both stylishly and speedily with an exceptional interface.
Cortex is getting some impressive reviews such as this one from Jolie O’Dell over on Mashable. It sounds as though it’s pretty easy to get the knack of and O’Dell says that once it’s installed you simply locate the content you wish to share, click it and hold.
A wheel-like circle of options for where you want to share it is then displayed around your mouse and you simply glance your mouse in the required direction and release. That’s it, as simple as that your content has been shared with a “whoosh” sound effect as an added bonus!
At present it can be used to share content to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instapaper but apparently more options are on the way and O’Dell sounds bowled over by Cortex calling its design perspective “a breath of entirely fresh air.” The new Chrome Web Store was launched at the same time as Cortex and it sounds as though Google may have another hit on its hands. You can see a video of Cortex in action at the Mashable link above.
Another great write-up for Cortex comes from Stephen Hodson on The Inquisitr who insists that there’s no other way of sharing content that’s “as simple and elegant as Cortex” and call it a “killer extension.” Why not try it out and let us know your thoughts on Cortex?
