Social networking sites have come a long way in recent years and have given benefits to their users such as communication between friends and family, joining of groups in sharing an activity or interest and knowing news from around the world!
Sites are web-based and give users the advantage of interaction over the internet, e-mail and instant messaging. With the development of technology, sites can also be accessible via a mobile device.
According to Nizam at Penn Olson, the Brazilian ad agency “Moma Propaganda”, have approached these sites based on a series of ads they are designing as part of their campaign for Maximidia Seminars.
It has looked into how social networking ads may have looked back in the 1960s. They looked at sites such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Skype. When looking into this period of time, vintage colours and graphics needed to be maximised. Also, taglines for each social networking platform were carefully thought about.
As more and more of us log onto these sites daily, have we ever considered the way in which they have been developed and the accessibility involved in giving users different options to log onto their profiles.
What do you think about these vintage ads? Which one is your favourite? Personally, I like the Skype Ad!
