We have some exciting news for the Doctor Who fans out there, as the BBC have just brought out a new app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. You can embark on the time lord’s adventures in the new game, The Mazes Of Time.
The basic outline of the game is to go from room to room pushing switches and levers, with an objective that needs completing. You meet all of the Doctor’s classic foes such as the Daleks and Cybermen on the way just to add to the fun. The main playable characters are Matt Smith’s 11th doctor and his assistant Amy Pond, as you would expect.
Doctor Who In The Media has reported that the game is now out on the App Store ready for download and will cost £2.39 for the iPhone and iPod touch or £2.99 on the iPad. The site also went on to say that the app will be available on Google Android in 2011.
Cnet has played on the app and given a quick review, saying that the game is very good with the fun gameplay and realistic character sounds but is spoiled by the very hard controls. This app looks to be worth a download and will provide a few hours of fun while you are on the bus, or for keeping the kids quiet.
Let us know what you think of the app if you have played it. Also, leave us a comment if you plan to download it or think the idea is a waste of time.
