We have reported over the last few weeks, on the forthcoming “BlackBerry PlayBook” due to be released sometime next year. Up against stiff competition from other tablets, Research in Motion (RIM) is hoping that their offering is packed with some fantastic features including a new OS, 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB Ram, Dual front and back HD cameras and 7 inch LCD display will set a new trend.
When RIM hit the DevCon conference, it seemed that they held back on some of the details of the devices. Ionut at Softpedia reported that these hidden extras were highlighted during the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition, where Jim Balsillie CEO for RIM, showcased a working BlackBerry PlayBook. Along with this, attendees were lucky enough to hear of the release of a 64GB model as well as the 16 and 32GB and bigger 5300 mAh battery to increase further battery life..
The PlayBook is due to arrive in the Middle East along with the BlackBerry App World 2.0 and BlackBerry Torch.
