Ping has now been added to iTunes on the iPad, this has happened ahead of the much-anticipated iOS 4.2 update which is expected later this month. Ping was launched back in August and within 2 days had more than 1 million users sign up.
Some of you may already know that Apple’s social network grew after it has partnered up with social media giant Twitter where users can now integrate their Twitter followers into their Ping contacts. What does this mean in real terms? Well basically, Ping will be linked to a Twitter account and will automatically respond if another user reviews, likes or purchases anything from iTunes. Pretty cool.
So what will you have to do to see the update? According to Leslie Horn over at PCMag.com all you will need to do is click on a new button towards the bottom of the iTunes app and it will be automatically updated with no additional download. Read on over at PCMag.com
