Google Alphabet is restructure not name change

It is actually August and when the name Google Alphabet was announced it could have been passed as an April Fools joke, but on the contrary it is very real and worth noting it is a new parent company for Google.

Google Alphabet is purely a restructure and not a name change, people believed it was a new name Google was thinking of releasing but we can tell you it is most definitely not a change from the name we all know best.

Larry Page announced the new Google parent company on the official blog and can also be read over on the new Alphabet (https://abc.xyz/) website. Looks like the corporation is getting bigger, it already has many eggs in the basket so to speak. Such as YouTube, Maps, Search, Google+ and so much more.

Alphabet will be a separate business just like Nest and Google Fiber and Google Chief Executive Larry Page will be the Alphabet CEO with Sergey Brin being president and the executive chairman Eric Schmidt taking the helm as Alphabet’s executive chairman.

The new Alphabet is basically in simple terms is a collection of companies, with the biggest one being Google. Larry Page, CEO said, “Alphabet is mostly a. The largest of which, of course, is Google. This newer Google is a bit slimmed down, with the companies that are pretty far afield of our main Internet products contained in Alphabet instead. This new structure will allow us to keep tremendous focus on the extraordinary opportunities we have inside of Google.”

Google shares are going to go through the roof. Always does when they bring out a new parent company. It did when they bought YouTube, but this time round they are creating this one themselves aren’t they?
