Lawyers experimenting with social media: Infographic

Looks like lawyers are experimenting with social media, and a new survey according to ABA’s most recent Legal Technology Survey, lawyers are doing this more than ever and 2015 will see more of them of social platforms.

When it comes to lawyers and social media 62% of law forms maintain social networks, which compared to 2012 it was at 55%. A huge 78% of lawyers maintain one or more social networks for professional purposes.

When it comes to lawyers in the following practice areas who personally maintain social networks, litigation saw 84%, commercial law 83% and employment & labor at 80%. The infographic courtesy of MyCase also shows lawyers are spending around 1.7 hours per week using social networking sites for professional purposes.

33% of lawyers maintain a Facebook presence, with 52% of law firms maintaining presence of Facebook. 10% have a personal Twitter account with 19% of law forms maintaining presence on Twitter compared to only 13% in 2012. Please read the rest of the infographic below.
