There are many decisions to make in life when it comes to choosing social media or email marketing. Would you know, which one is better?
Debates are always going to arise and stick when it comes to choosing the right path, both have their benefits and values, and using each one of them can help brands make profits if done in the correct way. In the infographic there is one part, which says there are many valid and profitable reasons for adding social media marketing to your toolbox. In a nutshell it would be a stupid idea to trash the idea of getting rid of email marketing at this stage.
If you look at the infographic below (Courtesy of Email Delivered) there are a few stats to help you decide, it shows social media marketing has not surpassed email marketing just yet with 50% compared to 99%. In social media’s favor the infographic points out that when some ‘likes’ a Facebook post or follows a company on Twitter, the context is typically more indirect and less overtly commercial – Do you agree or disagree?
Research shows that spending money on email marketing campaigns has increased by 60% in 2012, which resulted in a 4,000% return on investment, wonder how that sits in 2015?
In social media’s defence people who post on Facebook prefer to stay on Facebook. So it makes sense to try and send them to a fan page rather than your home page.
In essence of the above and the infographic below, both social media and email marketing are both highly effective. Use both to market yourself or brand, it makes sense.
