Public response to Taliban Bowe Bergdahl handover

Associated Press uploaded the YouTube video below showing the Taliban surrounding Bergdahl sitting in a pickup truck, in one part of the video you will see one Taliban fighter holding a rocket propelled weapon, amongst others holding rifles.

In the video you will see Bergdahl looking calm whilst blinking frequently and rubbing his eye listening to his captors, as he sits there waiting patiently a Black Hawk helicopter lands and the Taliban lead Bergdahl half way to the helicopter with one Taliban fighter carrying a white flag.

Before Bergdahl was escorted onto the helicopter one man in civilian clothing patted him down, there were three civilian dressed men and soldiers in Army uniforms waiting.

What is a little strange about the handover is the patting down of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl; he was collected half way and then to the helicopter and it was right next to the helicopter he was searched. What would have happened if he were dressed with explosives, it would have taken the helicopter out along with the men inside.

Bergdahl after five years was released in exchange for five Taliban detainees from Guantanamo. Bergdahl is not getting a great response on Twitter after his release by the Taliban; this is because his former comrades accused him of deserting them and putting many lives at risk when the army was searching for him.
