The bank strike in India is getting a lot of Facebook exposure at the moment, the latest news reports that eight lakh bank employees started the nationwide strike because they are seeking a new wage agreement.

Since the Private, foreign and public sector banks went on strike under the umbrella of the United Forum of Bank Unions, ATMs have run dry.

The Times of India reports that the two-day strike by the bank employees have hit hard for Indians in Oman, some have even sent money back home in case of an emergency, but transactions will not happen until the strike has ended.

The news of the UFBU (United Forum of Bank Unions), which is the umbrella trade union of 47 banks and the strikes have worried a few over on social media sites, Facebook in particular.
