For three days starting 21 September and ending on the 24th gunmen attacked the Wesgate shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya. It has been reported that 67 people sadly lost their lives, and that the Islamist group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the sad incident.

The mass shooting not only saw many lose their lives; over 200 people were injured as well in this tragedy.

The video we have provided below is raw and should only be viewed at your discretion, the footage was videoed by an eyewitness at the Westgate Mall in Kenya, which was sent to CCTV Africa.

BBC News Africa have listed the victims of the Nairobi Westgate attack, they list the names, countries they come from and a little about each person.

It was very sad to watch this video, the attack happened when the country was celebrating the International Day of Peace. The video does not show any of the shootings taking place but you can clearly hear the gunshots going off, we do not for one minute want to think about what the victims went through before they were shot.
