Nokia Lumia 800 in black releases UK, cyan to pre-order

Bang on time, the new Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone has just been released in the UK, just in time for Christmas. Bringing with it some impressive specs and display, the new Nokia Windows Phone can now be bought from various retailers.

Unfortunately the only drawback if you can call it that, is that users wanting the alternative colour to black, that of cyan will have to pre-order their device. Hitting retailers as Slashgear reported such as Three and Vodafone today, the black version will be available straight away, with Vodafone reporting the cyan will be released at the end of this month.

Pricing for a new Lumia 800 will set you back on a two year contract of £36 per month including 500MB of data from Vodafone, with Three offering the device for £37 per month with unlimited data. If you’re looking to purchase one of these new Nokia’s as a stand-alone price, your hands will be tied until January when this option becomes available.

For your money, you can expect to have a 3.7-inch Amoled ClearBlack screen, 1.4GHz single core processor, impressive 8MP Carl Zeiss camera with video recording at 720p HD, 16GB of storage and so on.

Tell us if you have been waiting for the Nokia Lumia 800? Are you getting black or waiting for the cyan colour?

How much does it cost in retail though? It looks like a toy, though I think I prefer this size cause it seems easier to handle than most smartphones.
