Canon EOS-1DX followup: specs, price & release

Looking for a new camera, then Canon may have the answer with their new EOS-1DX DSLR, that’s just been announced from the company. Following on from its predecessor the ID Mark IV, the new device falls into line as Canon’s 10th generation of professional cameras, the specs are looking pretty impressive and have been aimed at a target audience of professional photographers.

Including a high resolution 1,040k-dot 3.2-inch Clear View II LCD anti-reflective screen, 18.1 megapixel CMOS sensor with up to 12fps and 14fps high speed mode, the new DSLR will pack a dual DIGIC 5+ processors keeping as Pocketlint explained minimum noise levels. Full High Definition video recording is featured, 61-point High Density Reticular AF with 41 high sensitivity cross type sensors, giving you the user, some impressive speedy whilst accurate focusing.

Added to this, a new Multiple Exposure feature will enable the new weatherproof Canon to take up to nine shots and combine them into a composite image. 1GB Ethernet connection is available so pictures can be streamed quickly to a PC or Mac.

In terms of price, the new Canon will be retailing for a whooping $6,800 and will be ready March of next year.
