Chelsea FC Voted The Most Social Media Friendly Team

Networkers and football lovers out there may be interested to know that Chelsea are the Premier League’s most social media friendly team. The Blues have huge followings on both Facebook and Twitter, greater than any of their league rivals. The London based club topped the table in interaction with fans, posting regular updates to the world every day. Back in June, social media was practically used to confirm Andre Villas Boas as their manager.

Chelsea have 7.3 million fans on Facebook and almost 410K followers on Twitter, fan participation being higher than any other team in England. The Blues regularly get involved with fans via their website and social platforms, announcing competitions and streaming live news and events. The two Manchester clubs are leading the Premiership table and their players in the social media table. Chelsea despite being social champions are currently 3 points behind them in third place.
