Galaxy S II X (Hercules) On Telus: Sign-Up Page Reveals

Although Samsung’s Galaxy S II was released a little while ago, it hasn’t stopped the flow of news coming through on a constant basis. Up until now, many of us have been able to get our hands on the new Sammy device, whilst the US have been waiting patiently for its arrival. Good news came through on Friday with carrier Sprint now having an official set up page, allowing customers to buy the Galaxy S II variant by the name of the “Epic 4G Touch.”

Along with AT&T and T-Mobile with their Attain and Hercules versions, will come slight differences with the specifications listing. Whilst the Epic 4G Touch and Hercules will come with bigger 4.5-inch screens, the Attain will come as a standard 4.3-inch display. Other changes between all three include the size of processor along with Sprint just missing out with the inclusion of Near Field Communication (NFC).

But with the Attain expected anytime now where does that leave the T-Mobile model?

According to, on Friday their new version of the Samsung Galaxy S II X as its been called, will launch. Before we give you a basic rundown of its specifications, we can tell you that on Canadian carrier “Telus” there will be a sign-up page provided allowing consumers to get updated with the latest goings on.

The new Galaxy S II X will include a bigger 4.5-inch display matching that of Sprint’s along with a faster 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. The latter changes from Sprint’s version which will run on a ARM Cortex A9 Exynos as well as AT&T’s model. Whilst on the subject of a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, the Galaxy S II LTE will include this and there is news that Qualcomm who provide some of the biggest handsets with chips, are looking to up their processors to that of 2.5GHz in either single, dual or quad core.

Another consideration to bear in mind with the Galaxy S II X model, is that it will be compatible with Telus’s 4G network, have the same sized 8 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel to the front, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and so on.

In terms of release date, we have nothing concrete to go on but indications are still pointing to the end of next month, at least with an accessible sign-up page, you will be kept informed of its whereabouts before anybody else.
