Twitter Pays Tribute To Warrant Jani Lane’s Passing

Online social networking site Twitter has now attracted over 250 million followers since its initial beginnings back in 2006. A range of people log onto the site everyday including some big celebrity names. Past articles we’ve written about have included a huge range of topics, be it businesses trying to promote their branded products, charities trying to raise money for much needed causes, the announcement of births such as The Beckhams daughter Harper Seven and deaths such as the amazing Amy Winehouse, rants between individuals and so on.

Today for many fans, the sad news has filtered through that music rock artist Jani Lane has passed away. The front man of glam metal band Warrant was found dead in a hotel room at the Woodland Hills Comfort Inn in California.

As to the 47-year old’s death and the circumstances leading up to it, news is still unknown. The group Warrant in the early days, released tracks such as Heaven, Sometimes She Cries, big hit Cherry Pie, I Saw Red to name but a few, Lane also as wikipedia stated, co-wrote and sang the song The Power which could be heard in the massive movie The Gladiator.

Many friends and adoring fans have headed to Twitter to pay their respects and tributes to Lane. Names such as Slash, Bret Michaels, Tommy Lee from Motley Crue along with Nikki Sixx have all included their last goodbyes.
