Smartphones are something that we are beginning to rely on pretty heavily and they continue to become better and better with each day that passes. We regularly report on any new details for the Apple iPhone 5 amongst others and now we have heard that the Motorola Droid Bionic has been caught naked revealing a BIG battery!
Motorola’s new flagship device has been on the cards for some time and isn’t exactly camera shy, we have seen it time and time again and just want it to be released already! Checking on some of the details we know, you will find a 4G LTE radio, dual core processor and a massive 4.3-inch display that Debbie Turner was telling us about earlier. With all these battery hogging features they need something pretty substantial so that this bad boy can last for more than an hour! Check out this image of it…
We learned of this through an article by Kevin Krause over at Phandroid.com where he briefly goes over a few of the features mentioned above, he goes on to say that he just wants some official information on the device… Like a release date which we are all waiting for.
The original source of the information is MyGarageSale.com where Sonicboom has added the images and a short post about it revealing a couple of other battery sapping features of the device, a rear facing 8 megapixel camera and get this… a 5 megapixel front facing camera. The actual battery is HW4X at 3.8V, it’s a Lithium Ion Polymer Battery that should keep the device going for some time, I mean, just look at the size of it!
The latest rumor was reported on a few days ago by OSM’s Maddy Rowe where she has informed us that the device may be released in early September. We are wondering what you guys all think though, is this device going to be as good or better than the Samsung Galaxy S II and which of the two will you get when they are released on U.S. soil?
Surely whichever one makes it onto the shelves first will sell thousands upon thousands of their device, we have been waiting for some time for either of them to grace us with their presence so what’s a few more weeks?
What is your next smartphone going to be?
