July 13, 2021 | Maddy Rowe

In the up and coming weeks, the mobile phone market will pick up speed with the introduction of some big named handsets. These include the rumored Samsung Hercules, possible Galaxy S2 for the U.S., HTC Eternity, iPhone 5 and two from Motorola the Photon 4G and of course the Droid Bionic, and its this very phone that we wanted to keep you up to date with.

Motorola’s Droid Bionic, despite already enduring one release delay, is still grabbing the attention of many people. Initially the delay was reported to be down to the company bringing some “enhanced features” to the handset which was in turn make for a better user experience. Although not officially confirmed, we know it could be a bigger 4.5-inch display, 8MP rear camera, dual-core processor although this is a little up in the air as to what type and so on. Interestingly, Chris Burns over at Slashgear via Android Community has reported on a specs listing that has been sourced all the way from China. Ok, so we cannot base everything on this, but to be honest the specs are in line with rumored reports, examples of this include the increase from 4.3-inch to 4.5 in screen, TI OMAP 1GHz dual-core processor, 1.3MP camera to the front and 8MP to the back along with microSD up to 32GB.

But according to Cnet, there is a Verizon sign-up page that allows you, the customer to track the latest Bionic information. We’ve already brought you news that a tweet confirming its summer arrival was posted approximately 2 weeks ago, which if true to its word could cause disruption to other handsets currently on the market. Unfortunately the States are still yet to see the arrival of the Galaxy S2 due to rumors of Samsung in lengthy talks with US phone carriers, this we cannot confirm.

So what do you have to do to sign-up for the Verizon Droid Bionic page? Basically click here and on doing so, you will then have to type in your email address, with peace of mind that any updated changes to the Bionic will be sent to you immediately, this will include an official launch date, something of which we will report on as and when we know.

Check out some of our other posts in which we have compared the Bionic to other top end smartphones.
