Something that we have been talking to you more and more about in recent times is the number of scams we are seeing on Facebook. This one is no different from the others where they target someone who is extremely popular in our world; it’s another Justin Bieber Facebook scam this time about how a video tweet ends his career for good!
This certainly isn’t the first or that last Justin Bieber Facebook scam that we have seen or will see using the Biebster’s name. Another that we have seen recently is how he apparently punched his girlfriends Selena Gomez in the face which of course didn’t happen. Today’s scam has a post title of “The Video Tweet That Just Ended Justin Biebers Career For Good!” You can see it below.
As you can see the post carries the message saying “20 Minutes ago Justin Bieber posted THIS Video to His Twitter Account, See why he has the world turned against him now!!” none of which makes any sense what so ever. If you have been unfortunate enough to have fallen victim to this scam and you clicked on the wall post then you will have been directed to another screen showing a picture of Justin Bieber sticking his middle finger up with Selena Gomez next to him.
If you have clicked on the above image then you will have just instantly posted the scam on your own Facebook page with the appearance of you hitting the like button on it. Of course if your friends see that you have liked something then they are much more likely to click on it to see for themselves which is what this sort of scam relies on. It will also launch the actual scam where they have been trying to get you to from the beginning.
This is a survey scam and as informed by the guys at Facecrooks.com all these guys are after is your details, we cannot iterate enough how important it is not to actually fill in these details. Of course if you have already filled your details in then you will need to go and change passwords and keep a close eye on things.
Now we will move onto how to deal with the scam and get rid of it from your Facebook profile, the first thing you will need to do is navigate to the post on your Facebook wall and then click on the “X” in the upper right hand corner of it and then hit the “Report Post / Spam” from the drop down menu. You can also follow our guide that should help you with the next steps.
Have you seen this scam going around on your Facebook friend’s walls? If you have share this with them to get rid of it and raise their awareness of the scams.
