Clarence Clemons Dies – RIP: Twitter Respects & YouTube Videos

Many of you will already have heard about the sad death of Clarence Clemons, legendary saxophonist for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. Clemons, often referred to as the ‘Big Man’ died of a stroke last night aged 69. His death has caused an outpouring of grief and people have flooded Twitter paying their respects. YouTube videos are also being viewed widely and you can see one below this story.

Over on Twitter #ripclarenceclemons has become a trending topic with people leaving their tributes for the Big Man. He had last been seen in the new Lady Gaga video for ‘The Edge of Glory,’ which was only just premiered. Bruce Springsteen paid a moving tribute to his friend who he had worked with for so many years. Just part of his statement read, “He was my great friend, my partner, and with Clarence at my side, my band and I were able to tell a story far deeper than those simply contained in our music. His life, his memory, and his love will live on in that story and in our band,” according to Charlie White over on Mashable.
