Here at OSM we like to do all we can to keep all of our readers up to date with all the current smartphone news, in our bid to bring you this information we have recently brought you news on a range of devices like the Samsung Galaxy S2, LG Revolution and the Nokia Oro.
The biggest downside to most of these handsets is the price, it seems if you want a smartphone then you are going to pay quiet a tidy sum for one. For those not looking to pay through the roof we have some news on a cheap Android powered smartphone that has just been leaked, this handset is the Samsung SPH-D600.
As you can see from the image below this handset isn’t exactly the best looking device currently on the market, none the less for a level entry smartphone it packs some pretty reasonable features. These include a flash-enabled 3.2MP camera, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8655 processor, front facing camera, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and 4G WiMAX support. You can read more on the specs in this post from Ubergizmo.
The SPH-D600 will be running on Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread and its thought that it may also launch as a member of the Galaxy family, the biggest let down of this handset seems to be the screen which has a resolution of 320×480 pixel HVGA.
Still as the saying goes you get what you pay for so who are you to complain? If you like the sound of this handset and want to see more then you can check out this post from Phandroid.com, here you can see a couple more images of this device.
Do you think the SPH-D600 will be popular? Or will people pay more to get a phone with better specs?
