Droid Bionic Still Outshines Droid Charge: Your Choice?

May 26, 2022 | Maddy Rowe

If the choice of what smartphone to buy is getting you down, then add another two into the bag and the decision becomes increasingly more difficult. The list at the moment is endless with big names such as the HTC Sensation, Samsung Galaxy S2, LG Optimus Big, Apple’s iPhone, Samsung Droid Charge and Motorola’s Droid Bionic, and its the last two that we find ourselves pondering over.

For many customers, the choice may have already been made with a purchase of the Droid Charge as at this stage in the game, the Bionic is still not available to buy. With no concrete release date in place (although indication has pointed to the summer) and rumors flying around as to what new enhancements will be put in place to give users a better consumer experience, there may be a percentage of you wondering whether you should have waited for the Bionic, or even whether you will trade your Charge in for the newer model.

In terms of specs, yes the Bionic does seem the more appealing option with its dual-core processor and as stated, has a sharper image display compared to the Charge, although we have to point out that both include a 4.3-inch. If new features should come to the Bionic as promised from Motorola, then you could be looking at a bigger front facing camera, which to be honest will be a vast improvement on its current 0.3MP along with suggestion that it will have a faster processor.

The Bionic also may win hands down with the inclusion of Android’s 2.3 Gingerbread OS compared to the Charge’s Android 2.2 Froyo.

With the market changing at such a fast pace, we understand its a job to keep up with what’s classed as old and new? What are your thoughts on the new Bionic or Charge? Have you got a preference? Are you indeed regretting your decision to get the Samsung at this moment in time?
