HTC Holiday for AT&T LTE Likelihood: We’d Be Surprised If Not

May 24, 2022 | Debbie Turner

We first brought you news on the HTC Holiday specs over a week ago and then yesterday included the Holiday in a comparison against the Galaxy S2, Sensation and G2x. In both of these articles we wondered about 4G compatibility for the HTC Holiday but nothing was confirmed. Now we have news that the HTC Holiday will be heading to AT&T.

Just recently we wondered about what new phones we might see released for the AT&T LTE network, which is thought will be launched very soon and we would be very surprised if the HTC Holiday isn’t one of those 4G LTE phones. As a reminder we’ll tell you that the Holiday has a whopping 4.5-inch qHD display with a resolution of 960 x 540, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel camera and runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread.

Much of the present talk about the best new smartphones has surrounded the Galaxy S2 and we’ve made no secret of our enthusiasm for the handset, but looking at the specs of the HTC Holiday it could really give the Galaxy S2 a run for its money. News that the HTC Holiday will be carried by AT&T comes to us from Todd Haselton over on BGR, sourced from 911Sniper and Pocketnow, and he also comments that this handset is likely to be a 4G device. It’s also not known if the Holiday will feature the latest HTC Sense UI as on the HTC Sensation but this would certainly be another welcome addition.

Meanwhile over on IntoMobile an article tells more about the HTC Holiday and also the HTC Lead and it’s thought that these will both be AT&T LTE smartphones. There are still no details available on price or a release date for the HTC Holiday but you can be sure we’ll be keeping you informed when we hear more.
