Motorola Droid Bionic Styling Seen With Boot Animation

With many mobile handsets arriving with what seems to be on a monthly basis, one such contender that of the Motorola Droid Bionic or Targa as it may be named, is still set to make a grand entrance. Although the Bionic has for the last few months, been a huge topic of discussion here at OSM, it has still failed to make an appearance, and if the news is anything to go by, you may have to wait until at least the summer to get your hands on one.

Today we can give you news from via PocketNow, that the handset, the fourth 4G LTE to arrive on the big red Verizon’s network, has been spotted as part of a screenshot with what is believed to be the “Boot Animation” for it. On seeing the brief and I mean brief video below courtesy of YouTube, you will notice a little of the Bionic styling along with the “Red Eye.”

It is still difficult to gauge when the new Motorola offering will be up for grabs, as we know judging by some of our readers comments, this a pretty desirable phone. What we can tell you is that indications are definitely pointing to a release and at the moment, Motorola are incorporating “several enhancements” to give you, the user a better experience.

To refresh your memory, the Android Droid Bionic will include a Tegra 2 dual-core processor which alone seems to be a key inclusion for many upcoming smartphones, running on 4G, 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen display, 8 MP camera to the rear and 0.3 MP front facing with webcam, 512MB of DDR2 RAM, 1080p video recording and so on. Check out our previous post when we compared the Bionic to the HTC Sensation and Samsung’s Galaxy S II.

Tell us if you are still holding out for the Droid Bionic, or will the iPhone 5 get your vote as they are rumored to be launching at the same time? What features tempt you with the Bionic?

So… I'm guessing the "" is a watermark on the YouTube video…. not actually in the start-up animation?

I'm waiting on the Bionic or Targa or whatever they are going to call it. Have not ever and will not ever own an Apple branded iPhone.
