We’ve recently brought you news on the Nokia C7 and also the Nokia E7 but today’s news is all about the Nokia E6, which has now been made official. The business-centric phone running on the Symbian Anna update has been announced for release in Q2.
This smartphone features a full QWERTY keypad, and has a high-resolution touch display and Nokia also stresses its “exceptional battery life,” (1500mAh). Other features include an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 720p HD video recording, 8GB storage expandable to 32GB with micro SD, and 256GB of RAM. News on specs comes to us from Vlad Savov over on Engadget and you can see the full Nokia press release plus specs data sheet at the link.
The Nokia E6 comes in 3 colors, black, silver and white and you can see a video of the E6 below. Another report on Engaget by Vlad Savov also gives us a full hands-on experience with the E6 where he notes the 640 x 480 resolution looks “pretty awesome” on a 2.46-inch screen and also points out how “extremely compact” this smartphone is, pointing out that a far as the feel in the hand goes it’s great. Drawbacks that Savov noted were a slight UI lag and even with the update Symbian is still not everything it could be, although the battery life got a big thumbs-up.
Are you interested in the E6? What makes a Nokia and Symbian handset your choice of phone above iOS and Androids? We’d be interested to hear from you about this so do send in those comments.
