Kate & Wills Wedding Embraced By Twitter’s George Michael

April 11, 2022 | Maddy Rowe

The wedding of the year is nearly upon us, yes that’s right the Royal Wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton on 29th April. Here at OSM we are keen to bring you any updates in and around the big event and what caught our eye today is that singer/songwriter George Michael will be joining in with the celebrations by creating a song for the couple which will be posted on his Twitter page.

The site which is still proving popular is a way for many people including celebrities to tweet (message) their fans, announce events, pay tribute to stars or just have a good old rant which has been the case lately with some footballers. But back to the 47-year old star which has blessed us with his presence since the eighties when he formed part of the group Wham, has chosen to sing a cover version of a song in awe of the Royal Wedding. He hasn’t given much away at the moment but as the reported, he has asked his loyal subjects for ideas surrounding a love song which he will then be able to create in his own way.

In turn he will then post the completed track onto his Twitter page. Very subtle hints have been dropped with George saying, “Suffice to say its a beautiful song and it was never a single so chances are you don’t know it. But I think its a perfect fit. It was written in the seventies by a genius. The first word of the title is You.”

Keep your eyes peeled as the singer is hoping to get the track finished by the end of this week.

Let us know your thoughts. Have you got any ideas as to what love song George should re-create? Suggestions please.
