Verizon Android Phones System: Now Shows Droid Bionic & More

We’ve been bringing you a lot of news about Verizon Wireless lately. We had a report about how the Verizon LTE network was fastest against Sprint’s WiMAX, then a look at the Apple iPhone 4 on both Verizon and AT&T showing Verizon customers were more satisfied and suffered less dropped calls. Today we have news from you about some of the upcoming Verizon Android smartphones as the Verizon device management system now shows the Motorola Droid Bionic and others.

Not long ago we bought you details of a leaked Verizon roadmap with release dates of many of the smartphones we were waiting to hear about. The news that these phones have now made it onto the device management system doesn’t give us further release news but shows we are one step closer to release and there are also a couple of snippets of information that we hadn’t had confirmed before. Hit the links to find out more from our previous articles. The Verizon system now lists the Droid Bionic, the Droid X2, Droid Charge and also the Droid Incredible 2 and we know that many people are eagerly awaiting the release of these Droid handsets. Others shown are the LG Revolution, HTC Merge and Xperia Play.

News that these handsets were now on the device management system came to us from Kellex over on Droid Life. If you’re waiting for the Droid X2 there had been some confusion over whether this phone would be 4G or not and according to the system it’s not a 4G LTE handset, so that’s one issue cleared up. Also the Droid Incredible 2 is definitely listed as a global phone. It’s also apparent that all of these upcoming phones will be able to make use of the VCAST store except for the Droid X2.

With all of these new smartphones expected in the next couple of months it looks like it’s going to be an exciting time ahead. If you want to find out more about the Verizon 4G LTE network here head to the Verizon webpages here where you can find out areas covered etc. You may also be interested in our article from yesterday where we told how from April 17, Verizon will be abolishing new one-year contracts.
