Looking For A Kidney Donor? Try Facebook

April 6, 2022 | Tim Ollason

Facebook has many uses that we have reported on in the past and with the changes that are going through the site, it is becoming more and more useful for all sorts of people. It’s also pretty good for different brands with the Facebook fan pages.

It’s also great for keeping in contact with your friends and family especially for those that you maybe don’t get to see very often. Now we have heard of an innovative way that it’s being used through’s Meredith Singer. We have now heard of someone who has been looking for a kidney and was successful, maybe you should try Facebook if you are looking for one yourself.

Singers tells the story that the Michigan man who needed it couldn’t wait for the three to five years as his health had started to deteriorate. The man’s wife Roxy turned to Facebook to ask for help and that is when Ricky Cisco piped up and replied to her postings expressing an interest in becoming a donor.

Ricky Cisco said that he has always wanted to be a hero but he isn’t very strong and that he can’t lift anything and that he can’t save people in traditional ways but he has an extra kidney. The two guys have become good friends now and hang out about once a week.

Facebook is becoming somewhere for people seeking medical attention, you only have to look at our previous report where we told you that 1 in 5 people are using Facebook to make medical decisions.
