Verizon Release Rumor for Droid Bionic, Incredible 2 & Many More

March 30, 2022 | Debbie Turner

If you’ve been waiting for a release date for one of the upcoming smartphones coming to Verizon then we have news for you. A leaked Verizon roadmap details releases for many different handsets, including those with 4G LTE such as the Motorola Droid Bionic, the Incredible 2 and many more. Although the roadmap says “dates subject to change” on it, at least it gives us a good idea of when we can expect them.

We have previously heard speculation about release dates for some of these handsets which may differ from these and we cannot confirm the validity of this leaked roadmap, which comes to us from Kevin Krause over on Phandroid, nevertheless read on if you want to find out more.

April releases listed are the Casio Commando, an Android waterproof phone for April 7. Also on April 7 is the release of the Samsung Droid Charge, a 4G Android handset. April 14 is the release date for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play while on April 15 comes the HTC Trophy, a Windows Phone 7 handset. April 28 should see a lot of activity at Verizon stores with the release of the HTC Droid Incredible 2.

Moving into May we see a release date of May 5 for the LG Revolution, a 4G Android phone, and the last few on the roadmap merely have a May release listing without a specific date. Those are the much-awaited Motorola Droid Bionic, a 4G Android, the Motorola Droid X 2, a 4G Android, and finally the Samsung Galaxy S II, wait for it, a 4G Android. Earlier today we told how the specs were now official for the Samsung Galaxy S II but that it looked like AT&T would carry it unless Verizon was getting a 4G version, and this would seem to confirm that LTE version for Verizon.

There is the chance that those last three could be coming after May as they have no specific date but we know how greatly anticipated the Droid Bionic and Galaxy S II are so let’s hope May is accurate. As many of these are 4G phones for the Verizon 4G LTE network you may want to check if your area is covered which you can do at this webpage here.

What are your thoughts on this release leak from Verizon? Which handset is the one that you’re waiting for, if any? Let us know with your comments.

Very disappointed with the Bionic date there. I was hoping to see in MAY

Holding out from Bionic. I have the Droid X and am happy with it, so holding out for the Bionic is no big deal.

I am very frustrated. I am waiting for the Bionic, and I currently have the first Motorola Droid which is currently dying. I have feeling it doesn't have much life left here, it's running slow and have multiple connection errors. I need a new phone and i was hoping the Bionic would be end of April, now I am scared May isn't going to happen. :(

I just returned my HTC Thunderbolt - Verizon had the guts to ask for a $35 "restocking fee" for a phone that did not do Skype and has a battery not fit for the high powered phone…..

Been waiting on the Bionic but I am up to here with the Storm 2 and with no real end in sight and Verizon teasing the world with this phone I may just settle for something else. Its fine to wait for something but this is insane.

I'm still using the original Blackberry Storm. Total piece of garbage. Now I'm waiting for the Bionic. I was getting excited with those rumors that it was going to come out on April 21. Now it says some time in May and knowing Verizon that doesn't mean anything. You'd think that with the release of the Atrix on AT&T Verizon would be trying to push this phone, but apparently not.

Did you have to pay that $35 dollar fee? They just sold me on the droid x a day ago and today someone told me about the bionic coming soon. I am going to take back my droid x tomorrow. Just wondering if you got out of that stupid fee…

The Galaxy S II looks like it can give the Bionic a run for it's money! I'm not too keen on Motorola phones, so now I may have to switch to Samsung!!!

I have a droid x now and am fine wth but am a guy that likes the latest and greatest. I was looking at the bionic, but now the galaxy s2 is comming. I would prefere the galaxy s2(for slimness) but have no intention of switching to att&t. I just really hope that the galaxy will be available on verizon.
