Ferdinand Twitter Praise for Wilshere & Parker After England Win

Here at OSM we’ve often noted Rio Ferdinand as one of the most prolific Twitter members and often tell how he uses Twitter to get his views across to his many fans. Today we can tell you how Rio Ferdinand has taken to Twitter again to give praise to Jack Wilshere and Scott Parker after the England win against Wales yesterday.

Although Ferdinand could not play because of injury it didn’t stop him heaping plaudits upon the England team’s performance, giving a thumbs-up to the tactics used and being particularly impressed with the midfield players. Of Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, also known for tweeting, Ferdinand tweeted, “Jack Wilshere is looking comfy in a 3 man midfield… suiting him nicely!” according to a report on Metro.

The praise didn’t stop there either and Manchester United’s Ferdinand also turned his attention to West Ham captain, Scott Parker and his performance in the match, tweeting “Scott Parker worked hard + won the ball back for us nicely. Looked our most comfortable performance all round in a long time.” After the match Ferdinand tweeted, “Well done the lads, 2-0 + was comfortable. Roll on the summer qualifiers!” We think it was a great touch from Ferdinand to give such positivity to the team and players when he wasn’t able to play himself.

What did you think of the midfield performance yesterday and who would you single out for praise? Do you agree with what Ferdinand said in his tweets? Let us know with your comments using the box below.
