Once you have hold of your new iPad 2, no doubt you will caress its slim sculptured contours and revel in the smoothness of its sleek design. Yes you and your latest device are happy, at one with each other and nothing will separate you.

Now whilst cosseting your tablet like your first born, it will be understandable that you will want to protect its perfectly formed casing from any damage that the daily grind can throw at it. With this in mind Slash Gear found possibly the perfect answer.

StealthArmor isn’t a new idea, in fact they touched the original iPad with their protective hands. But now the makers, Fusion of Ideas have announced that they will be taking pre-orders for the 2nd generation iPad from today.

For those that are unaware of the StealthArmor brand, it acts like a second skin, clothing your device in a thin layer of scratch-resistant polymer similar to the coating applied to race cars. This covering sticks on with heat activated adhesive, which once warmed will lay on with a perfect finish.

With a variety of finishes from polished aluminum or high tech carbon fiber right down to a more eccentric wood grain design, there should be a style to suit all. There is also the benefits of a screen protector to complete the armored plating effect.

Prices are set at $45, which is a small price to pay for the peace of mind that it will bring. Why not head over to Fusion of Ideas to view what the company has to offer. Tell us how you will be looking after your Apple slate?
