Sony Xperia Play: Grab Yours Now On eBay

One of the biggest devices on its way to you this year, is that of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, or PlayStation Phone as its referred to. Initial rumors from last year led up to its official unveiling at MWC last month and its abundantly clear that we have a fantastic phone coming. As well as giving you a rundown of specifications and video, we have brought you news on a white version coming exclusively to network O2 and a gaming selection.

Today yet more news has come through, this time of where you can hold of one of these highly sought after devices, and its online retailer eBay. According to Ubergizmo, the 4-inch 854 x 480 multi-touch LCD screen phone was seen at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) last week, where a handful of the devices were given away to attendees. Indications are showing that the Android 2.3 Xperia Play’s have now headed in the direction of eBay to be sold off there.

As our source quite rightly pointed out, the Sony device will not be a low cost item, but with many of you willing to pay over the odds to be the first to have one, then eBay is the place to head to. A concrete release date has still not been set although rumor has it, that it will be sometime soon.

Just to help you in your decision process, we have listed some of the key features you can expect to get for your money. The first apart from the fantastic screen quality, is that of Qualcomm Adreno 205 graphics which of course will entice the gamers amongst you. There can be no argument as to the amount of battery life you will get, with the device running for a good 5 hours and 35 minutes in just a single game sitting.

Along with this there will be the inclusion of a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, WiFi, Bluetooth, games and stereo speakers with Timescape UI layer.
