Death: The Notorious B.I.G. 14th Anniversary Remembered On Twitter

Social networking site Twitter is becoming more and more popular by the day, and numbers of users are now in the region of 190 million and still growing. For many people, it can be used as a communication tool by posting tweets on your Twitter feed and following favorite celebrities which otherwise would be made difficult in the real world.

We have given you past news on footballers taking to the site to praise or pick holes in their team mates, music acts such as Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga, charity issues, tributes to celebrities that have lost their lives and so on. Today its the turn of the late Christopher Wallace aka, Biggie Smalls – The Notorious B.I.G. and the 14th anniversary of his death.

Back in 1997 the East Coast American rapper was shot after leaving a party in LA. For many fans he will not only be remembered for his great tracks but for his constant feuding with West Coast rapper Tupac Shakur who consequently lost his life to gun crime. To this present day, Biggie’s murder is still a huge topic of discussion with his murder still remaining an open case. Biggie was only 24 when he died.

In honor of his memory today, many celebrities and avid fans have taken to Twitter to remember the legendary star. England and Manchester Utd footballer Rio Ferdinand who himself is a constant tweeter, paid his respects by saying, “Morning tweeps, its 14yrs since Notorious BIG died, #timeless The school run is all Biggie 2day no compromising with the lil men [his children] at all!!’

Rapper and friend Diddy paid homage to Biggie by leaving pictures of him and asking fans to send in their own comments, links and so on. One such fan Steeleman89 according to Metro tweeted, “The amount of amazing tracks biggie made and they will never get old!!!! The guy is a god in the music world.”
