Angry Birds Flying To Windows Phone 7- 3D Coming

The birds are getting bigger and better, as it has been revealed today that the smash senasation mobile game as coming to Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 OS. It gets even more interesting as a Rovio official also confimed that the game would get a 3D release.

Rovio developer Peter Vesterbacka stated in an exclusive interview with Pocket Lint that the record breaking app would making be coming to Windows Phone 7 and that it was Microsoft who were holding up the release. Vesterbacka who is nicknamed “Mighty Eagle” at work said ““Let’s just say, Microsoft has a lot of lawyers.”

The Rovio official also confirmed Angry Birds would be slingshotting themselves out of our screens in eye popping 3D, but sadly gave no further details on a release date or platform. It is likely the game will be available on the new LG Optimus smartphone which is the first ever mobile to offer glasses free 3D. There is also no official release set for the app on Windows Phone 7; however Vesterbacka did confirm “the company is working on a Windows Phone 7 version of the game”.

According to Mashable the hugely popular game has already been downloaded 42 million times on iOS and Android. With the release of Angry Birds available to another OS it can be assumed this figure will soar to an all time high.
