Mobile sensation Angry Birds has certainly been ruffling everyone’s feathers over the past year and the app looks to be taking a huge growth in 2011.
First and foremost the record breaking smartphone game recently signed a deal with 20th Century Fox so that some of the characters of their 3D animated movie Ice Age, would appear in the next version of the game . It has also been reported that with every single update that has taken place on the Android platform of the game, it continues to improve every time, according to Android Apps.
The Finnish company Rovio who develop the game, has made a very smart move making a deal with a huge film corporation as it will open all sorts of media doors. Angry Birds had a trailer for their latest game Rio, aired during a commercial break of the Super Bowl. Millions were watching and one of the biggest sporting events in the world would have been excellent publicity for the game, if it needed any more.
As you will see in the video embedded below, the ad opens with 20th Century Fox’s logo being blown apart by the birds. Improvements such as user interface, graphics and multi-tasking have been highlighted with the upcoming editions of the game expected to smash those of the previous, as reported by Ice News. The app has amassed a mind blowing 50 million downloads across 60 different countries and is set to get its own TV show, as well as a release to games consoles and board games with Lego another possibilty.
