Here at OSM we’re getting very excited about the upcoming release of the HTC Thunderbolt and in recent days have written about a previous rumored date of February 24, then news that implied the release date would be February 14, which was backed up yesterday by news of a teaser from Verizon itself, saying that the release would be “sooner than we expected.”
Now we have a little more release news for you as although an actual date has still not been confirmed it looks as though pre-orders will be available from next week. Jerry Hildenbrand over on Android Central reports that a Best Buy advert for next week, depicts the HTC Thunderbolt 4G phone for Verizon, with text that says that people can pre-order with payment of a $50 deposit.
Above the picture of the Thunderbolt on the ad, it simply says “Coming Soon” but this does seem to imply that a February 14 release is looking likely as per our previous article (linked to above), about a leaked screenshot from Best Buy with this date on it. If you still don’t know too much about the HTC Thunderbolt, it’s an extremely impressive handset with a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, 8-megapixel camera with LED Flash and front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera and of course it’s 4G for Verizon’s LTE network.
