Motorola Xoom Best Buy Release: February 17

Bearing in mind, we are only still in the month of January, we have heard mountains of information surrounding current tablets as well as forthcoming devices. One such tablet which seems to be dominating the news as well as the iPad 2 and Notion Ink Adam is that of the Android Motorola Xoom. In the last couple of days, Debbie has reported on the price being $799, but today news has filtered its way through of retailer Best Buy releasing the Xoom on February 17.

According to Engadget, the tablet which with some fantastic features, has been a talking point since its video showcased in December, now seems to be on its way. If this information is anything to go by, then Best Buy will be receiving its stock on February 16, so if this is the tablet for you, then advice is to highlight it on your calendar with the intention of hitting the store as early as possible.

For anyone who may still be unfamiliar with what the tablet packs, then the Xoom as showcased at the CES, is reported to be running on Android Honeycomb 3.0, Verizon 3G until the second quarter when it will be upgraded to 4G, 1GHz dual-core processor, front and rear facing cameras, HD widescreen, HD video recording whilst supporting Adobe Flash 10.1.

    Its a 1 ghz dual core nvidia Tegra 2 soc. Not a 2 ghz dual core. And its way too expensive. My decked out $550 notion ink adam should be here any day now.

      i’d have to question whether the adam will be here any day based on the games they’ve been playing. initial delivery Jan9th, then 15th then 29th. don’t be surprised that it be pushed further out.
