Arsenal’s Fabregas Applauded By Ferdinand On Twitter

Yes, I expect you’re thinking Rio Ferdinand tweeting praise for yet another Arsenal footballer, what is going on? Just the other day, here at OSM, we reported on the Manchester United/England player Ferdinand applauding the Gunner’s Samir Nasri on Twitter, for his goal in the first 5 minutes against Leeds, and in his opinion being player of the season.

Today its the turn of Cesc Fabregas, and his recent tackle on Saturday’s game against Wigan Athletic, which transpired with the reds winning 3-0. The online social networking site Twitter, is increasing in popularity and for whatever reason, as well as the usual celebrities we see on there such as Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and so on, footballers have played (excuse the pun) a significant part over the last few weeks.

With Ferdinand not able to play due to a groin injury, Metro reported he’s been watching some of the games on Match of the Day. Consequently Arsenal’s game on Saturday surged him into tweeting his praise for Fabregas. He said, “I swear Cesc just cut a man in half with them #silks!! Cesc is letting off here on MOTD!! Moving people like a removal man!”

Central Midfielder Fabregas it appears is not the only one to be receiving words on Twitter, he also spoke of Darren Bent. Since his transfer from Sunderland to Aston Villa, the player has been particularly quiet on the site. Villa played Manchester City of which Bent scored that all important goal making the end result 1-0. Ferdinand tweeted, “Wow, Villa pulled that result from nowhere! @DB11TT love that, quietened a few up with that goal.” He later went on to say, “I never meant he quietened the Sunderland supporters up tweeps for those asking, he quietened those questioning the fee + him as a player.”
