We’ve seen some amazing products from CES 2011 in the last few days but one of the most intriguing is the subject of this article. Have you ever longed to be able to tweet from your refrigerator? No, nor me… but that’s exactly what you’ll be able to do with this refrigerator from Samsung.
The Samsung RF4289 Internet-connected refrigerator incorporates an 8-inch touchscreen within the fridge door which will not only give you Twitter access but also display the Google Calendar and play music if required, according to Charlie White over on Mashable. Instead of the traditional note and fridge magnet you’ll be able to leave memos for the family plus see the temperature outside.
You’ll even be able to use it for the usual fridge functions such as adjusting the temperature along with accessing recipes and menu ideas. John D. Sutter over on CNN also reports on the Samsung internet-connect refrigerator and tells us it will be coming in May at a price of around $3,500. The article also looks at other appliances that are internet-enabled.
We’d like to know what you think about these appliances and would you really use Twitter via your fridge? Maybe you think many of the capabilities of the RF4289 would never be used? Why not tell us your thoughts by sending us a comment.
